Win A Year Of Cookies

Get Poetic With Dancing Deer

If you have the heart of a poet and also love cookies...maybe you will be the next winner of Dancing Deer Bakery’s annual Lunch Box Poetry Contest. Just write a poem on the topic of LOVE IN A LUNCHBOX.

The folks at Dancing Deer are on a mission to spread sweetness with their cookies, thoughts and deeds. They say, “Nurture creativity, spread sweetness, give back, live better, teach kindness—WIN COOKIES!”

Might we add: we don’t even own a lunch box—we just love their cookies (and their cakes and brownies too).

The entry deadline is October 1, 2006 and winners will be chosen by October 31. Who can enter?  Everyone! Grownups, kids, any individuals Teams, from classrooms to clubs to ad hoc clubs (like the Wisteria Lane Desperate Housewives Association) to real poetry clubs. Prizes The first place winner will receive lunch box cookies for the school year. Several other winners will be chosen, including best overall performance by a class.

Maple Pecan Shortbread Nuggets can seem particularly poetic with a frothy latte. The little treats come packaged in twos which, makes them lunch box-friendly, along with the Triple Chocolate Chip cookies above, regular Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies, and Lemon Daisy Shortbread Cookies. Dancing Deer cookies are certified kosher by Star-D.
