This is the perfect cookbook for anyone finding their feet in the kitchen. Recipes, for the most part, are simple and straight-forward and encompass all of the major food preparation techniques. Although simple, this book is also useful for the intermediate chef as it provides basic recipe templates for many common foods that can later be tinkered with by the creative kitchen guru. Aside from recipes, this book also contains many other primers on chores necessary to maintain a clean and effective home. The only negative concerning this very useful book are the tendency of the authors to present recipe instructions in broad strokes, rather than more specific steps that would better help the neophyte in the kitchen.
