Granola Bar Reviews:

Attune Strawberry Bliss Granola Probiotic Wellness Bar

“5X the live cultures in yogurt.” First ingredient: granola bar (first ingredient of that is brown rice syrup). Must be refrigerated “until you take Attune to go.” The bottom and sides are dipped in what looks like a yogurt coating. The yogurt coating tastes like an antibiotic and overwhelms any granola bar taste. Absolutely awful. Per bar (40g or 1.4 oz.): 170 calories, 70 calories from fat, 3 g saturated fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 90 mg sodium, 3 g fiber, 10 g sugars, 5 g protein. AttuneFoods.com
Editor’s Note: We tasted Attune Bars separately, and liked them. There is a broader variety of flavors other than only the Strawberry bar tasted by our reviewer. Read our review.

Bees ‘n Blossoms Homemade Granola Bar

All of these bars are drier and crumblier than most, but they’re also less processed; the component ingredients are easily visible when you look at the bar, a characteristic I like. All are 3-ounce (85g) bars with no nutrition information; the first ingredient for all bars is oats. BeesAndBlossoms.com

  • Apricot and Pistachio. A very good quantity of dried apricots and an excellent grain/seed/nut presence. Recommended.
  • Cranberries and Golden Raisins. The same holds true for this bar; there’s plenty of dried fruit as well as an excellent grain/seed/nut presence. Recommended.
  • Honey Peanut. A light, crisp-crunchy texture. You can taste both the honey and the peanuts in here, but the bar is too dry.

Bobo’s Oat Bars

“All Natural, Wheat Free, Vegan.” All bars are 3 ounces; the manufacturer states that each bar equals two servings. First ingredient for all bars: organic rolled oats. BobosOatBars.com

  • Apricot. Primary flavor is of lightly sweetened oats. Not bad, but where are the apricots? There were a few small chunks visible, but they weren’t a significant presence in taste or texture. Per 1.5 oz. serving: 180 calories, 50 calories from fat, 1.5g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 20 mg sodium, 3g fiber, 9g sugars, 3g protein.
  • Coconut. Nicely chewy consistency, lightly sweet, good grain presence, some coconut flavor. Very pleasant. Recommended. Per 1.5 oz. serving: 180 calories, 60 calories from fat, 2.5g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 20 mg sodium, 3g fiber, 8g sugars, 3g protein.
  Bobo's Granola Bar
  • Peanut Butter. An immediate peanut butter taste that stays with you through the mouthful. Slightly chewy; there are certainly grains in here, but they don’t put themselves forward. Not bad. Per 1.5 oz. serving: 190 calories, 70 calories from fat, 1.5 g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 20 mg sodium, 2 g fiber, 9 g sugars, 3 g protein.
