Pink Cocktails For Valentine’s Day

With Rosangel Hibiscus-Infused Tequila

In 1858, Lazaro Gallardo, a tavern owner and tequila producer, invented a unique tequila-making process called Selección Suave (Smooth Selection). His blended reposado tequila with the smoothest, aged tequila reserves, creating the a premium tequila with impeccable flavor.  In 1895, Gallardo named his tequila Gran Centenario, to commemorate the beginning of the upcoming new century. At that point it was sold at his tavern. In 1920, his son Luciano decided to bottle Gran Centenario. Inspired by the Art Deco style of architecture, he designed a bottle similar to the one used today.

Rosangel is made from the world’s most awarded Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila. Mellowed for two months in Port barrels and then infused with the subtly sweet flavor of hand-picked Hibiscus flowers, the tequila liquid takes on a distinctive and sophisticated sunset-pink hue. The perfumed nose is complex, with floral and ripe fruit notes plus hints of vanilla. On the palate you’ll pick up dried fruit flavors, leading to to a smooth and gentle finish.

While Rosangel is delicious on the rocks or as a shot, you can make your favorite tequila cocktails even more special with it.

The suggested retail price is $36.99. You can find it online or via the retail store locator on the company website, Rosangel.com.

Rosangel is made by Gran Centenario Spirits, which has handcrafted tequila in small batches at Hacienda Los Camichines since 1895, using the finest Highland blue agave. The agave hearts are baked for up to 72 hours in traditional clay ovens to capture the subtlest flavors. The nonflavored tequilas—Silver, Reposado, Añejo, Extra-Añejo and older bottlings—are aged in French Limousin oak barrels.

Try one of these rosy red cocktails made with Rosangel tequila for a Valentine’s Day treat.
