Granola Bar Reviews

Quaker Oats

Certified kosher by The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations. QuakerOats.com

  • Fiber & Omega-3 Chewy Oat Granola Bars (Peanut Butter Chocolate). “35% of Daily Value of Fiber, Excellent Source of ALA Omega-3 from Flax, Made with Whole Grain Oats.” First ingredient: granola (first ingredient of that is whole grain rolled oats). Bar has a thick line of chocolate drizzle on top. Light, crisp, somewhat chewy texture. You can tell there’s chocolate here, but there’s almost no peanut butter flavor. Pleasant enough, but with artificial flavors, Polysorbate 60, and partially hydrogenated fats, why would you bother? Per bar (35g): 150 calories, 45 calories from fat, 2g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 35mg sodium, 9g fiber, 7g sugars, 3g protein.
  • Oats, Nuts, & Honey Sweet & Salty Crunch Bars. “30% Less Fat Than the Leading Sweet & Salty Peanut Granola Bar, Made with Whole Grain Oats, 0 g Trans Fats.” Per 2 bar serving (34g total): 150 calories, 45 calories from fat, 0.5g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 210mg sodium, 2g fiber, 8g sugars, 3g protein. First ingredient: whole grain rolled oats. Crunchy and light-textured. The flavor combination isn’t unpleasant, but the bars have too much salt.
  • Simple Harvest Multigrain Chewy Granola Bar (Cinnamon Brown Sugar). First ingredient: whole grain rolled oats. Chewy, light-textured, lightly sweet. Not enough dried fruit. Initial sweet tastes fades to very strong apple flavor (apple juice concentrate is an ingredient). Per bar (3 g): 140 calories, 25 calories from fat, no saturated fat or cholesterol, 90mg sodium, 2g fiber, 10g sugars, 2g protein.

Reese’s Sweet & Salty Granola Bars With Peanuts

First ingredient: peanuts. The bottom and one short side of the bar are dipped in chocolate. The predominant taste is one of salt, with some peanut flavor. Certified kosher by The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations. Per bar (34g): 160 calories, 80 calories from fat, 2g saturated fat, no cholesterol, 170mg sodium, 1g fiber, 8g sugars, 4g protein. Sconeage Bakery

Bars are one ounce each. No nutrition information. First ingredient: oats. Oaty and chewy. A lot of dried fruit that provides sweetness. Bottoms of bars are sticky but tops are not. Not bad, but no distinguishing flavor except for the dried fruit. Sconeage.com
