Vitalicious VitaMuffin

Low Fat Muffins & Muffin Tops, With Half The Calories & All The Taste

CAPSULE REPORT: We don’t like to eliminate our favorite comfort foods just to pursue a nutritious diet. So we were thrilled to find that Vitalicious, a company that thinks the way we do, has created a healthier, yet equally satisfying muffin alternative. The VitaMuffin boasts just 200 low fat, cholesterol-free calories per four- ounce serving. If it weren’t for the wrapping blaring ONLY 100 DELICIOUS FAT-FREE CALORIES PER 2-OZ SERVING*, these muffins could pass for a batch baked with butter and many more calories. A box of Deep Chocolate VitaTops goes on our list of Valentine gifts for people you love too much to send a box of chocolate. Gift certificates are available. The products are all natural and certified kosher by Orthodox Union. This is Page 1 of a two-page article. Click on the black links below to visit Page 2.

*That’s for the mini-muffin; there are also 4-ounce, “regular” size muffins but at 200 calories, they’re still a bargain. The Deep Chocolate, Sugar-free/Low-carb Banana Nut, Sugar-free/Low-carb Velvety Chocolate, and Double Chocolate Dream contain between 1.5 to 3 grams of fat.

Vitalicious VitaMuffins

Having tasted our share of disappointing “healthy” muffins, VitaMuffins, to our surprise, were moist, pliant, and flavorful—just like the ones we get at our favorite bakery, but packed with fiber and without fat. And, we found them to be delicious. Each bite consists of a moist texture paired with the fresh tasting flavors of apples, cranberries, blueberries, or other fruits. What makes these muffins feel and taste healthier, without compromising flavor or consistency, is their airy mouthfeel and lack of oily residue so frequently found with other products that use substitute fats.

The four-ounce VitaMuffin has about 8 to 12 grams of fiber and 6 to 8 grams of protein; and are available in AppleBerry Bran, BlueBran, CranBran, Golden Corn, MultiBran, Deep Chocolate, Low-Carb Sugar-Free BananaNut and two sugar-free flavors, Sugar-Free/Low-Carb Banana Nut and Sugar-Free/Low-Carb Velvety Chocolate.

Fortified with 100 percent of 10 vitamins and minerals, these muffins contain 0 to 3 grams of fat and are trans fat-free. The two-ounce muffins are available in the same selections.

VitaMuffinFresh-baked muffins can be delivered right to your door to freeze and microwave each morning.

If you like your tops, VitaTops come in a two- ounce size packed with 4 to 7 grams of fiber, and are 80 to 100 calories depending on flavor. Read more about them on the next page.
