.Twigs From Judy’s Breadsticks: Whole Grain & Wholly Delicious

CAPSULE REPORT: Whole grain, vegan, crunchy and superb, Judy’s Breadsticks were a standout at a recent enormous food show in San Francisco. The products are carried by specialty food stores in Northern California; but thanks to the Internet, gourmet crunchers everywhere can take advantage of  the bounty.

The company, founded in 2000, deserves a wider stage for its products. And fine food lovers nationwide deserve better breadsticks. (Please retailers, bring them in!)

Twigs are made of 100% organic whole-grain wheat, barley malt and olive oil, plus sea salt or a bit of sugar, depending on the flavor. Roasted Garlic, Sesame and Sunflower are savory breadsticks; Coffee Bean and Sweet Currant are slightly-sweetened breadsticks. The Coffee Bean breadsticks are ingeniously studded with roasted coffee beans. They’re a coffee lover’s must-have.

Twigs are delicious snacks, but can be used to add glamour and flavor to a variety of dishes. And at about $3.99 a bag, we’ll be handing them out as holiday gifts to everyone.
