Doodles Cookies Overview

Doodles Cookies are all-natural, organic and gluten-free cookie mixes that simply taste great.

The company’s first product was an organic chocolate chip cookie mix with large chunks of top-quality chocolate. It’s made with brown rice flour and oats instead of the wheat flour, and brown sugar.


The chocolate chip cookies are also lower in calories and fat than traditional chocolate chip cookies. The recipe uses low-calorie, high-fiber applesauce instead of butter—a trick that keeps the cookies moist without adding extra fat. One cookie has 90 calories and 2 grams of fat.

The company was started in 2008 by Deborah Sievers, a home cook with a passion for baking healthy, organic food. After winning two national awards for her gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, Deborah decided to convert her passion into a business.

Today there are three additional varieties of Doodle’s Cookie mixes:

  • Gluten-Free Organic Chocolate Chip Cookies. We’ve already said how much we like these. Heck, we’ll give them an award, too.
  • Gluten-Free Organic Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. These chocolate cookies are packed with those delicious chocolate chips, plus some smoky habanero heat. We love the combination of ingredients...and the habanero will have everyone drinking more good-for-you milk.
  • Gluten-Free Organic Nut Butter Cookies. Equally delicious as the chocolate chip cookies. You can use almond butter, nutella, peanut butter, a soy substitute or whatever you like best.   • Gluten-Free Sugar Cookie Mix. Another versatile mix: You can use vanilla extract for a basic sugar cookie; or choose almond extract, anise extract or lemon extract to vary the flavor. Divide the batch into two to bake two flavors from one box!
