.Riceworks: Welcome The New [Rice] Chip In Town

CAPSULE REPORT: Mmm, these chips are more than great—they’re addictive. But why do Riceworks rice chips taste a bit like corn chips?

It’s because they’re the marriage of two gluten-free whole grains: brown rice and corn. The result: magnificent.

Riceworks was born in 2005 when one of California’s largest rice growers sought to create a snack product. The following year, a snack manufacturer bought the rights to produce the rice chips. They further refined the flavors and texture.

But it’s only within the last year or so that Riceworks gained good national distribution. We just discovered them earlier this year. Along with Food Should Taste Good corn chips (another Top Pick), it’s our favorite healthy, crunchy snack.

Today, Riceworks chips (the manufacturer calls them crisps, which is the British term for chips) are available in six flavors. Do we have our favorites? Absolutely!

The Riceworks line is certified kosher. Read about the flavors and healthy features of Riceworks chips in the rest of the review. Start with the article index below.
