Hart has spent more than 20 years in publishing, in start-up and blue-chip media companies. He began his career in by working on numerous magazine launches, first for Children’s Television Workshop and then for Hearst Magazines. He later joined Time Inc.’s Sports Illustrated, helped create and build a joint venture between CNN and Time Inc., and successfully launched CNNSI.com, a 24x7 online sports news business (now known as SI.com), building it into one of the Web’s leading sports sites and online communities. Now, managing Marketechnique, a consulting firm, his clients include Reed Business Information, New York Times Digital, ZelnickMedia, BusinessWeek Online and others.

Ed worked on some of the biggest bankruptcies in America as an associate at Weil, Gotschal & Manges; then moved to general business law. For the past ten years he has specialized in representing and guiding small cap companies.
James R. Rulmyr
Finance
Jim has over 25 years experience in strategy development, M&A and new ventures as a corporate executive and as a consultant in a variety of industries. Prior to forming his consulting practice, JR Rulmyr & Associates, Jim was an executive with Xerox Corporation, where he led acquisition, divestiture and strategy development initiatives the U.S. and internationally. Prior to Xerox, Jim was Vice President of Strategy and Technology Planning for Pitney Bowes Management Services. Earlier in his career, Jim held senior strategy and development positions within Discovery Communications, GE Communications & Services Group and General Instrument. As a consultant, Jim has been a Principal with Mercer Management Consulting, and a Principal with Braxton Associates (now Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Rulmyr received undergraduate and Master’s degrees with distinction in industrial engineering from Cornell University, where he was first in his class. In addition, he has an M.B.A. with distinction from the Harvard Business School. Jim was also a member of the Grace Commission.

Carolyn is VP of marketing at Uncommon Goods,com, an e-tailer. She is a business planning consultant with over 20 years of experience in advisory services and business development in the retail and consumer products industry. Carolyn began her career as an associate for Goldman, Sachs & Co., and has held senior management positions in strategy, corporate finance and planning for Ernst & Young, Coach and Tommy Hilfiger. She has worked on business planning, product and marketing initiatives for a diversity of businesses including start-ups and not-for-profits.
